Asset protection and/or Medicaid Pre-Planning can look different for each family, and may include different types of trusts to protect your assets.

It's important to know that it is not a good idea to title homes or accounts in the names of your children or other family members. While tempting, please know that "DIY-ing" Asset protection could end up inadvertently "gifting" half of the asset to them, which could cause problems for you (or them!) down the road.
